DETAILED OVERVIEW

Bury St Edmunds Market Day & Chippenham Park Gardens

Spend the morning at Bury St Edmunds on Market Day, and an afternoon at Chippenham Park Gardens.

Chippenham Park Gardens

Chippenham Park is a thriving family estate. The house, gardens, and park were created at the very end of the 17th century by Admiral Lord Russell with permission from William III.  The gardens have been awarded the highest two-star rating by the Good Gardens Guide and are notable for their vast swathes of snowdrops and aconites in late winter followed by a superb spring show of daffodils, hellebores, spring bulbs and blossoms.

For the first time ever Chippenham Park Gardens have extended their summer opening dates. The gardens are absolutely thriving and we can’t wait for you to see the picturesque views! Acres of gardens and woodland walks, large borders and a multitude rare and unusual plants.

The Potting Shed Tearooms are fully licensed and serve delicious home-made hot food, teas, coffee and cakes. (please note it is cash only at the tea rooms)
